Developing Future Leaders: DTC Botswana Hosts the First De Beers Group IGDP Cohort
Today, DTC Botswana had the pleasure of hosting the first De Beers Group International Graduate Development Programme (IGDP) Cohort, an initiative delivered in partnership with The Government of Botswana.
The IGDP, which will be held every two years, forms part of the De Beers Group and The Government of Botswana’ broader Talent Programme which part of it entails offering high-achieving Batswana graduates from a broad range of disciplines an international placement across De Beers Group’s global operations. This comprehensive initiative also includes internships, postgraduate sponsorships, government leadership programmes, and leadership accelerator programmes.
DTC Botswana was delighted to host the cohort, as the visit provided an opportunity to share insights into the diamond value chain and deepen the graduates’ understanding of the long-standing partnership between our organisations. The visit included an overview of our operations, followed by a guided tour of the sorting floors, where the graduates were able to engage directly with key processes.
