Botswana proudly hosts the prestigious two-day World Federation of Diamond Bourses Summit from May 18-19, 2026, under the theme “Botswana @ 60: Diamonds, Nation-Building, and the Future of Responsible Luxury.” This landmark event marks Botswana’s debut as a new WFDB member, reinforcing its status as a leading global diamond hub.
The summit convenes government officials, global diamond bourses, miners, industry leaders, and strategic partners to discuss the trajectory of the natural diamond sector. Emphasis is placed on fostering collaboration between producing nations and the international trade ecosystem, affirming Botswanaβs role as a key player in diamond production, trading, and beneficiation.
A highlight today was DTC Botswana hosting industry icons, including Mr. Ahmed Bin Suyalem, CEO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre, WFDB President Mr. Yoram Dvash alongside a distinguished delegation from the Federation.
