As part of its commitment to creating sustainable value beyond diamonds, Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB) has extended its support to the Government of Botswana in the ongoing fight against Foot-and- Mouth Disease (FMD).
On 2 September 2026, DTCB donated essential equipment to the Foot-and-Mouth Disease Coordination Centre, contributing to national efforts aimed at strengthening the response to the disease and minimizing its impact on communities and livelihoods.
Foot-and-Mouth Disease continues to pose a significant challenge in Botswana, affecting livestock farmers and communities across different parts of the country. Recognizing the important role that resources and equipment play in supporting an effective response, DTCB saw an opportunity to contribute where it could make a meaningful difference.
The donation forms part of DTCB’s Social Performance mandate, which seeks to support sustainable community development and contribute to initiatives that improve livelihoods, resilience and wellbeing.
For DTCB, supporting the national response to FMD is about more than providing equipment. It reflects the Company’s commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and a partner to Government and communities during times of national need.
DTCB is proud to play its part in supporting Botswana’s efforts to protect livelihoods, strengthen communities and minimize the impact of Foot-and-Mouth Disease.
