The COVID-19 pandemic continues to take its toll in Botswana with the number of new case escalating. This has called for Business to play an active role in the fight against the spread of the virus.

It is against this background that DTC Botswana donated P2,500,00 (two million, five hundred thousand Pula) worth of swabs and viral transport media
(a critical component in the testing process). This amounted to a total of 66 600 swabs and viral transport media.

When handing over the donation, DTC Botswana’s Managing Director Mr Sedireng Serumola, reiterated that it was DTC Botswana’s intention to make a difference on the lives of Batswana. “It is our hope that the donation will greatly assist the Government of Botswana in the containment of the coronavirus.”

Mr Serumola further said, “I am making this donation on behalf of the Board of Directors, Management, and the Staff of DTC Botswana, and I would like to  extend my sincere gratitude to the frontline workers, in their various capacities, for their dedication and hard work in the containment of COVID-19”.
