DTC Botswana invests P100,000 into Botswana Swimmers

DTC Botswana unveiled a P100 000 sponsorship for four swimmers to attend the World Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in Netanya, Israel from 4th September to 9th September 2023.  The sponsorship was officially handed over to the Botswana Swimming Sports Association (BSSA) at the University of Botswana swimming pool area.

 Speaking at the handover ceremony, Stella Moetse, Senior Manager – Human Resources Services at DTC Botswana emphasized that, “DTC Botswana actively pursues community initiatives that have a strong inclination towards capacity building, enterprise development and supporting women and children. These are areas that DTC Botswana is passionate about.”

She further emphasized that one of DTC Botswana’s strategic priorities is to Elevate Sustainability and Communities, which ensures the promotion of socio-economic opportunities for the betterment of Batswana’s lives. She pointed out that DTC Botswana recognizes swimming as a comprehensive discipline with far-reaching implications.

President of BSSA, Kgaotsang Matthews applauded DTC Botswana for their sponsorship and stated that, “your willingness to make a difference in these swimmers’ lives exemplifies DTC Botswana’s commitment to working with our government and other business partners to develop local sports.”
